'Love Food, Hate Waste'

'Love Food, Hate Waste' Roadshow

Dorset Council have organised a series of 'Love Food, Hate Waste' Roadshow dates across the region, where Dorset residents can find out how to cut food waste, help the environment and save money.

The first of those Roadshow's took place on Tuesday 25th November at the Waitrose Store in Gillingham & the next will be on Friday 5th December at Tesco in Blandford.

If you go to the Blandford event, you'll be able to claim a cookbook folder, complete with pull out recipe cards for meals made from leftovers and other odds and ends and Road show staff will also be on hand to offer useful hints, tips and information about slashing food waste.  According to the Waste Resources Action Programme it's estimated that Dorset residents throw away about a third of all the food they buy.  That's like bringing three bags of food home from the shops and throwing one straight into the bin.

Find out more about 'Love Food, Hate Waste' at the next road show at Tesco, Blandford on Friday 5th December between 10am - 3pm
