Distiller in cider brandy battle.

A Somerset distiller is hoping his product will once again be made legal next month.

Somerset Cider Brandy could once again be a legal product next month.

When EU  spirit labelling laws were revised an oversight meant the drink was left off the list.

Now Julian Temperley, who runs the Somerset Cider Brandy Company at Burrow Hill near Martock, has been meeting with EU Commissioners.

He wants his cider brandy to be protected like Cornish clotted cream.
