The Yeovil man who took his son to the US without the mother's consent will be sentenced in April.

The Yeovil man who abducted his son and fled to the US with him has been told he'll be sentenced next month.

The 43 year-old, who can't be named to protect the boy's identity, took the 13 year-old in October 2008 without the consent of his mother.

They went to Philadelphia where they lived with his new wife but a court in the US sent them back to Britain at the request of UK authorities.

He was also found guilty of making a false statement to get his son a passport and will appear in the dock at Taunton Crown Court on the 15th of April.
