Mystery of beheaded skeletons solved

Scientists say 51 skeletons in a pit under the new Weymouth relief road were most probably vikings.
Forensics experts have revealed more about the 51 ancient skeletons found during landworks in Dorset last year.
The remains, all decapitated and men, were found thrown in a pit at Rideway Hill where the Weymouth relief road is being built.
The scientists have concluded they were all vikings and were most likely caught and executed by local Anglo Saxons between the 10th and 11th centuries.
