A Frome printers has done a deal with Ordnance survey but it'll mean job losses in Southampton.

Ordnance Survey, the country's map printing agency, has signed a deal with a Somerset firm.

It's the first time it's turned to an external company - namely Butler, Tanner and Dennis in Frome.

The contract's reportedly worth around £10 million and is in conjunction with another with a firm in Nottingham.

But it's not good news for workers in Hampshire, the two deal are expected to mean as many as 40 job losses at Ordnance Survey's factory in Southampton.
