Shocking pub closure figures emerge

Bleak new statistics have emerged detailing how many Somerset pubs have closed in recent years.
Cheap supermarket drink, high prices at the bar and the smoking ban are all being blamed for pub closures across the UK.
A Westminster report shows 75,000 pubs shut between 2002 and 2010.
Somerset appears to be one of the worst victims where almost 7,800 closed during that period.
Dorset inns are vansishing too.
The Campaign for Real Ale claims some local authorities aren't helping either by ordering pubs down quiet country lanes to remove their advertising boards which they often leave out on busier roads to attract trade.
