Speed cameras going?

Fixed roadside speed cameras could be switched off across Dorset to save money.

Speed cameras in Dorset could be scrapped due to government budget cuts.

Transport chiefs in the county say they can't afford to repair or replace the existing roadside devices because of a one million pound fall in funding.

Earlier this week Oxfordshire County Council voted to axe its cameras.

Swindon Borough Council did it last year.

The Dorset Safety Partnership says that it can't rule out turning them off to save money.
